ITINERARY


Day 1: Apr 01 (Fri). Depart Los Angeles to Cairo.


Day 2: Apr 02 (Sat). Cairo. Arrival Cairo-Transfer to hotel

Welcome to Cairo! Meet and assist through airport formalities. Transfer and overnight at the hotel. 


Day 3: Apr 03 (Sun). Cairo Tour-Pyramids and Grand Museum

Breakfast at the hotel in Cairo. Proceed to visit the Great Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza plateau. On to visit the Grand Museum which displays the ancient Egyptian treasures and unmatched monuments that date back to 7000 years ago. (B, D)


Day 4: Apr 04 (Mon). Cairo-St. Catherine

Breakfast at the hotel in Cairo. Drive to St. Catherine through Moses exodus route. Transfer to St. Catherine. Dinner and overnight at St. Catherine. (B, D)


Day 5: Apr 05 (Tue). St. Catherine-Taba-Israel (Dead Sea Hotel)

Early in the morning, we climb Moses Mountain. It was this mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Descend for breakfast at hotel. Then we visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. View the burning Bush where God spoke to Moses well. Transfer to Taba Border. Dinner and overnight at Dead Sea hotel. (B, D)


Day 6: Apr 06 (Wed). Jericho-Tabor-Nazareth

After breakfast we will continue traveling south to the actual location where John the Baptist was baptizing on the Jordan river. Our next stop will be Jericho where to see the Mount of Temptation, the Sycamore tree and visit Tel Jericho, where the city stood at the time of Joshua. We will visit Mount Tabor. Enjoy the spectacular view of upper Galilee, where Jesus transfigured in the presence of Peter, James and John, and upon which stands the Church of Transfiguration. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth. Day 7: Apr 07 (Thu). Nazareth–Sea of Galilee-Cana-Nazareth

Following breakfast, we will start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Afterwards we will visit Capernaum, the town of Jesus which is the center of ministry where he performed many miracles. Visit the House of St. Peter and the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached. Stop at Tabgha, the Primacy of St. Peter and visit the church of the Miracles of the Loaves and Fishes, the site of the multiplication miracle, the Mt. of Beatitudes. Then we continue to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water into wine. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth. (B, D)


Day 8: Apr 08 (Fri). Nazareth-Bethlehem-Shepherd's field

Start the day with a visit to Nazareth, we will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and view the Blessed Cave, where angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. View Mary and Jospeh's House and carpentry shop where Jesus spent 30 years of his life. We will continue in Bethlehem and Shepherd's Field and Grotto. In Bethlehem we visit one of the oldest churches in Christianity,  the Church of the Nativity, built over the birthplace of Our Lord. We will also see St. Catherine's Church built over the tomb of St. Jerome. Surrounding Bethlehem are the Shepherd's Fields where the shepherds saw the angels who heralded Jesus' humble birth. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem. (B, D)


Day 9: Apr 09 (Sat). Via Dolorosa-Holy Sepulcher-Mt. Olives-St. Peter of Gallicantu 

Early in the morning we will follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulcher Church and visit the church of Ecce Homo. From there we will also visit the church of St. Anne the birth place of Mary, and Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralytic. Then we Continue to Mount of Olives, and the Chapel of the Ascension, from which Jesus returned to his Father and the Pater Noster Church where our Lord taught his disciple how to pray, walk down the road of Palm Sunday to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus endured his Agony, We will visit the church of St. Peter of Gallicantu. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem. (B, D)


Day 10: Apr 10 (Sun). Ein Karem-Upper room-Dormition-Wailing Wall-Afternoon Palm Sunday procession

Will be visiting Ein Karem birthplace of St. John the Baptist and where the Virgin Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. We will visit the Church of Visitation. Afterwards continue to Mount Zion and the Upper Room where Jesus instituted the Eucharist & the Priesthood, situated over the tomb of David and next to the Church of Dormition, where our Mary fell into eternal sleep. Then we continue to visit the Wailing Wall the most important Jewish site in Jerusalem. Afternoon we take part in the Palm Sunday procession. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem. (B, D)      


Day 11: Apr 11 (Mon). Crossing border/Jordan-Madaba-Mt. Nebo-Petra

After breakfast we will cross the border to Jordan. Then we will head to visit Madaba, the city of mosaics, to see the wonderfully vivid 6th century Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land in the contemporary Greek Orthodox church of St. George. Then we will continue to visit Mt. Nebo the most revered holy sites of Jordan. This mountain was mentioned in Deuteronomy 34, "Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah..." While here, you will tour the Holy site of where Moses died and was buried. Check in at our hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight. (B, D)


Day 12: Apr 12 (Tue). Petra-Amman 

After breakfast, we will visit the site of Petra, a 2000 yr old Nabatean (ancient Arab) city that was highlighted in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". We will walk through the narrow passageway (called the"Siq") up to the Treasury, a massive royal tomb carved out of solid rock. If time permits, we will visit the traditional Tomb of Aaron (Moses' brother), along with Little Petra. Transfer to Amman, dinner and overnight. (B, D)


Day 13: Apr 13 (Fri). Departure to Los Angeles

After breakfast, Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport for the flight back to Los Angeles.
