Nov 5 - Day 1: Departure from Los Angeles to Lisbon - Fatima
Nov 6 - Day 2: Lisbon
Upon arrival you will be met by the tour escort and driver. Then, transfer to hotel in Fatima for check-in. If time permits, we will visit the church of St. Anthony of Padua, marking his birthplace. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight. (D)
Nov 7 - Day 3: Fatima
Breakfast. We visit Fatima and the Chapel of Apparition where our lady first appeared to the children, Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary where we can visit the tombs of St. Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, Basilica of Holy Trinity, and the Way of the cross. Proceed to visit the Church of St. Anthony where the children were baptized. On to visit Ajustrel to see the homes of the children, an Arneiro well where the Angel of Peace appeared to the children in 1916. On to Valinhos to see the small chapel that marks the location of the fourth apparition of Our Lady. Lunch on your own followed by free time for personal meditation, prayers and shopping. Return to hotel. After dinner, we join the nightly candlelight procession. (B, D)
Nov 8 - Day 4: Fatima – Evora - Seville
Breakfast. We depart Fatima to Seville, en route we stop at Evora for a visit of this medieval town to include the interiors of its Cathedral. Lunch on your own. This afternoon we proceed to Seville. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)
Nov 9 - Day 5: Seville
Breakfast. In the morning we enjoy the beautiful city flavored as much by the sounds of Flamenco and the smell of orange blossoms. Start the day with a visit to Basilica and the Shrine de la Macarena. Then proceed to visit the world’s largest Gothic Cathedral (which contains the tomb of Christopher Columbus), explore the charming Santa Cruz neighborhood, and tour the gardens, Mudejar-style architecture, cave stuccowork and the tile-covered rooms of the Real Alcazar, a Moorish palace. Lunch on your own. Afternoon is at leisure-- time to explore on your own the Plaza de Espana, the modern Metropol Parasol, and other historic palaces filled with azulejo tiles, and decorative arts. This evening we join the dinner and Flamenco show. Overnight in Seville. (B, D)
Nov 10 - Day 6: Seville – Cordoba - Granada
After breakfast, we check out from our hotel, then, we depart for Cordoba-- a capital under the Romans and the Moors. We will explore the UNESCO World Heritage—a listed historic center to see highlights such as the incredible Cathedral-Mosque, the Roman bridge, and the narrow backstreets and whitewashed buildings of the former Jewish Quarter. Mass in Cordoba Cathedral or local Church. Lunch on your own. Continue to Granada, one of the richest and most populous cities during Moorish rule. Check into your hotel. Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Granda. (B, D)
Nov 11 – Day 7: Granada
Breakfast. This morning, we go on tour the Alhambra palace and garden complex-- famous for its intricate Moorish architecture, lust gardens, and a rich history spanning centuries. We continue on to the old town visiting Granada Basilica of St. John of God, his relics are held in the Basilica & the Church of Our Lady of the Victories where he was first buried. Lunch on your own. Rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)
Nov 12 - Day 8: Granada – Gibralta - Tarifa
Breakfast. Depart for Tarifa, en route we stop at Gibraltar where we visit the Church of Our Lady of Europe. In 1979, Pope John Paul II officially approved the title of Our Lady of Europe as Patroness of Gibraltar, the shrine received the Golden Rose, a rare gift given by Pope Benedict XVI in May 2009. We will first stop at the Europa Point. This site is located at the southernmost point at the end of the Rock of Gibraltar. On this location you will see breathtaking views across the Strait of Gibraltar into North Africa Morocco along with the bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns along its shores. Proceed to Tarifa for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Nov 13 - Day 9: Tarifa – Tangier
Breakfast. We take the ferry across the straights of Gibraltar to Tangier. Upon arrival in Morocco, are met by our Moroccan tour guide and driver for a panoramic tour of Tangier which includes the Kasbah district and the old Medina. Tangier is known for its first Christian martyr St. Marcellus. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tangier. (B, D)
Nov 14 – Day 10: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez
Breakfast and check out from hotel. We depart to Chaouen located on the rift of the mountainous region between the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. Tour of Chefchaouen, known for its shady alleys, whitewashed and turquoise homes, wrought iron windows, colorful tile roofs, and fascinating souks. Discover the charm in Outa-el – Hammam Square, a cobblestone medina at the foothills of a rugged mountain that is popular amid the locals, see the Tarik-ben-Ziad Mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by the Torre de Oro in Seville. Lunch on your own. Proceed toFez. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel. (B, D)
Nov 15 – Day 11: Fez
Breakfast. We start the day with a visit to Church of St. Francis of Assisi. Visit Fez. It is considered to be one of the imperial cities beside being the cultural and religious center of Morocco. Tour of the city to include the Royal Palace gates, the medieval Medina “city old town, ” Bab Boujloud, Medrasa Bounania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin Mosque & University. Lunch on your own. Afternoon is free at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)
Nov 16 – Day 12: Fez – Rabat – Marrakesh
Breakfast and check out. Depart to the Moorish city of Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, dedicated to the founder of modern Morocco, grandfather of the current king. View the Mauresque-style Hassan Tower and Oudaya Kasbah and the Church of St. Peter. Lunch on your own. Proceed to Marrakesh. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)
Nov 17 – Day 13: Marrakesh
Breakfast. Start with a visit of the Church of Holy Saints Martyrs. On full day visit of Marrakesh, the second oldest imperial city “the Ochre city”. The historical visit includes the Menara Garden, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia. Lunch on your own. Afternoon visit of the souks, handicraft quarters, and the famous Jemaa El-Fna Square with its non-stop entertainment. Dinner with show. Overnight at hotel. (B, D)
Nov 18 – Day 14: Marrakesh – Casablanca
Breakfast. Departure to Casablanca, short visit of the Economic Capital: the Habous district, the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V Square, the residential area of Anfa and the outside of Mosque Hassan II. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)
Nov 19 – Day 15: Casablanca – Los Angeles
Breakfast and check out. Transfer to the airport for the return flight to USA.
